My first Performance in an American Movie

Daniel Goddard, Bojana Gregoric, Lance Henriksen and Richard Norton (2nd Unit Director/Stunt Coordinator)

The article is an interview with an up-and-coming Croatian actress, Bojana Gregoric, and her first opportunity to act in an American movie.  It was kindly translated by a Croatian friend of one of our avid members, Petrina.  Thank you, Trina!!  And, if you'll note in the photo above, Daniel has dark, short hair.

Bojana mentions that Lance Henriksen helped her to be comfortable throughout the taping the movie and that she really had a great deal of respect for him.  Currently, they are doing post-production work on the movie, A Man Called Rage.  She says it's the story of how people are living their lives after having survived a nuclear war.  They seem to be fighting for their lives.  Her role is that of the wife of a man named Parish (portrayed by Lance Henriksen); she also has a son named Michael from a former relationship.  Even though she is very much in love with him, she finds out that he wants to somehow corrupt her son Michael and get him involved in criminal activities.  It appears that the only one willing to help her is a man called Rage, portrayed by Daniel Goddard.  He helps save her son.   She says that making this movie was the best experience of her life, especially having the opportunity to work with American movie stars.  Guess she didn't know Daniel is Australian!

She was asked what she thought about the movie and she said she loved making it and had much fun with the other actors in the production.  She said the movie was taped in a brand new hospital that was built in Zagreb; she had been surprised that they were allowed to film there but apparently the
people there love Americans and were thrilled that they were making a film in their country.  She mentioned that the actors experienced some injuries; she mentioned that Daniel got hurt on the set the most (his elbows and knees).

In addition, Daniel seems to have brought a puppy to Croatia and it seems that the puppy appeared in the movie as well.  Bojana says that she felt that Daniel had such a big heart, that he was willing to do anything for a person.  If you needed to talk to him, he was more than willing to listen.  And he
helped her tremendously when she had to do a rape scene with Lance toward the end of the movie.  She feels he is a very professional actor who always wants to know everything in advance so there are no surprises or mishaps.  She expects the movie to be released in theaters in America in six months (from when the article was written).

A word from Daniel:

I wanted to make sure the translation was 'on the mark' so I sent it to Daniel and he replied:

"Bojana was very sweet and a very good actress.  The puppy thing is wrong though.  I found a stray puppy in Croatia.  It was sick and I nursed it back to health then brought it to the USA and found her a good home.  I called her "Zagreb" because that's where I found her, then I realized that "Ziggy" was more appropriate for a girl."
